2-way mixed anova with covariates; help!

#1
Hello,

I would like to run a 2-way mixed anova with covariates. However, when I do, SPSS automatically runs my analyses with the condition*covariate interactions; which I do not want. How can I get rid of such interactions? My syntax is below.

Thank you!

GLM VPT1 VPT2 BY Cumulative_risk_5SNPs_geno6_tri_half WITH gender
/WSFACTOR=expcon 2 Polynomial
/METHOD=SSTYPE(3)
/SAVE=RESID
/PLOT=PROFILE(expcon*Cumulative_risk_5SNPs_geno6_tri_half)
/EMMEANS=TABLES(expcon) WITH(gender=MEAN)COMPARE ADJ(BONFERRONI)
/EMMEANS=TABLES(Cumulative_risk_5SNPs_geno6_tri_half) WITH(gender=MEAN)COMPARE ADJ(BONFERRONI)
/EMMEANS=TABLES(Cumulative_risk_5SNPs_geno6_tri_half*expcon) WITH(gender=MEAN)
/PRINT=DESCRIPTIVE ETASQ HOMOGENEITY
/CRITERIA=ALPHA(.05)
/WSDESIGN=expcon
/DESIGN=gender Cumulative_risk_5SNPs_geno6_tri_half.

p.s. VPT1 (alcohol outcome in controlling condition), VPT2 (alcohol outcome in stress condition), Cumulative_risk_5SNPs_geno6_tri (genetic facotr), gender (covariate)
