Analysis of job adverts

#1
I am new to statistics and am undertaking a research project to assess skills required in a specific job sector. I have counted the different skills required in 350 online jobs in the area and I am trying to work out what would be the best way to analyse the results. This is just nominal data so I'm trying to think of ways to present it and test for a significant difference between the values. Any advice would be useful.

Let me take a shot, but I'm not sure what you are asking specifically.

Lets use the sector as Information Tech for example. For each of the 350 jobs you list the skills required. Let's just say that 275/350 of them require C++. Microsoft Excel is require in 300/350 jobs. Then I would conduct a two proportion test to conclude that Excel is significantly more probably to be required than C++ with a p-value of .013. Use the following website. Hope I am helping here.
