Two students performed a penny toss experiment, repeatedly tossing 20 pennies and counting the heads that appeared. The results look odd and you wonder if one of the students was using a different number of pennies. Analyze the data using the 5-step hypothesis testing procedure to determine if there is significant difference between the results at the 95% confidence level.



A proper response will (1) show all work here in a Word document, (2) demonstrate you know how to set up and solve the problem, and (3) demonstrate you know how to interpret the results. Dumping data into a program with hypothesis testing functions and reporting the reports will be considered unresponsive.



Three helpful hints: (1) statistical tables have been posted in main; (2) the chapter outlines, found at the end of each chapter, are often quite helpful in problem solving; and (3) the book is loaded with many helpful examples.
