Calculating Proportional Weights

#1
Hello everyone!

I have some questions on calculating proportional weights for an assignment. The report aims to show the relationship between education level and self-perceived health, self-perceived mental health, satisfaction with life in general, and diagnosed depression. The independent variable of education is categorical, and the four other variables are categorical as well.

I am using data from the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS), 2015-2016.

By using this data, does that mean I need to use proportional weight in SPSS before advancing and calculating the relationship and chi-square between variables?
If I'm simply displaying the data like education level, or level of self-perceived mental health, should I use proportional weight or simply the data that is provided by the survey.

Thank you for your help!
