Change over time and prediction of outcomes or change in outcomes

#1
Hello. I have two time points: baseline and follow-up. I have 5 variables: A (Predictor) and, B, C, D, E (Outcomes) and complete data for both baseline and followup.

I would like to assess 1) If change in A (between baseline and follow-up) can predict outcome scores at follow-up for B, C, D, E and/or
2) If change in A (between baseline and follow-up) can predict CHANGE in scores for B, C, D, E

Am I right in thinking that these are theoretically different and would require different stats methods? What would someone advise be the best methods to use?

Which is better - to predict outcome or change in outcome?
