Comparing temperature measurements between sensors?


I want to statistically compare 3 different temperature sensors (3 different manufactures) to determine which sensor gives the best performance in terms of precision. What methods are suitable to use?

I have lots of data – temperature measurements were done in a controlled environment with varying ambient temperatures with sensors placed at the same position.

How can I use this data to show that one sensor is to be preferred or that it does not matter which sensor I use?

I have started by comparing the average temperature recorded by each sensor by performing F-tests and ANOVA analysis. I have also done a few box plots to graphically get a picture of the variance. Are these tools a good way to compare the sensors?
