Confidence Intervals for Incidence rate

Hello, I am completing a dissertation for a BSc and I really need some help. Is there any way I can calculate confidence intervals from an incidence rate when the only information I have it the rate itself, in this case, the rate is 740/100 000. ? If so how do I do it?? Thank you!

I'm pretty sure you need to know the actual number of person-years, or whatever the denominator is, and not just a point estimate of the rate. If you got that, then there are standard "poisson" confidence intervals that can be used for the mortality rate. You have to look them up on google and report back.
