Forest Plot with extreme confidence intervals - how to display

#1
Hi there,

I hope this is the right forum for this!

I ran a binary regression model in R separately. One of the variables is categorical for Procedures, with four categories (Surgical, Endocopic, Medical, Conservative).

For the Conservative group, essentially the Coefficient approaches null hypothesis. My odds ratio is 7.849192e-06--R cannot even calculate the lower CI, whilst putting the upper CI infinitesimally high at e64.

I also have a similar problem with another separate variable that is highly predictive, with an adjusted OR of 50 (versus those of other variables in the order of 1.5 to 2.0).

Both variables I have to include in my model due to pre-specification. (I can produce adjusted/better-fitted models, but I do have to display the pre-specified one).

How do I present either of these extremes on a Forest plot? What is the convention for published research? Any suggestions?

Thank you
