Good morning,
I am new to this forum and would like some help with the interpretation of the following regression. I hope I am in the right place.

lnWaste = +A(lnGDP) +B(lnGDP)2

I have found coefficients for lnGDP= -1.85 and for (lnGDP)2=0.1
Now I am trying to give an interpretation of what would happen to Waste if GDP increases by x%.
I usually report the elasticity easily but I am not sure how to work with this since I have two different values that I should take into account when differentiating. I hope this makes sense and someone can give me a hand.

Many thanks to all!

Hi Sara,

Did you try:
1. extracting Waste from the formula (power regression)
2. changing GDP predictor and see how Waste is changed? (try multiply GDP)

B(lnGDP)2, is the two representing to the power of 2, e.g., 4**2 = 16?

That was my assumption: B(lnGDP)^2 otherwise, you will not have 2 elements in the equation.
