Hi

Just to say hello.
Bit of background I always like stats, worked in a largely stats role for a large company for a while and these days need to do a bit of it again. Last year completed a few data analysis MOOCs from coursera and udacity to solve a problem in work which now needs some further enhancing. I love Python (I'm lazy so automate a lot of my daily work tasks using it), comfortable with R, Matlab etc.
I have large and interesting custom real world data-sets to work on and I can say in words what I am looking for in the data but having trouble sometimes expressing that in a statistical format and extracting the relevant features from the data to improve the analysis.
My biggest problem is the lack of someone around work to bounce ideas off (very small company) and learn from so hopefully I'll get some of that here.

Regards
Tipping
