Likert Scale Analysis

#1
I am writing a paper that will have 10 questions; respondents will answer using a 5-Point Likert Scale. Try as I might, I can't figure out what type of statistical analysis I should use. I'm trying to gauge their opinion on their working relationships with the boards they report to.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

It depends on what you are trying to do. It's hard to give any general advice.

Anyway, if some of the questions measure the same thing in different ways I would create indexes from those and make confidence intervals the good old way. Otherwise, you should probably treat the data on an ordinal scale, which make things a little trickier. If you have the option, you might want to consider using a seven point scale and treat it like an interval scale.
