Multiple Regression - interpreting effect of dummy variables SPSS

#1
Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone can help me. I have a model which includes a categorical variable (religion) with five categories which are none, christian, jewish, hindu, muslim ("none" as the reference category which has been excluded from the analysis), which I have transformed into dummy variables and ran the analysis. I know how to do the basic interpretation of the F-value of the overall model, etc.

But when it comes to comparing e.g., the effect of being in one category over another (e.g., Hindu with Jewish) how would I go about doing this, or which part of the output do I need to be looking at?

Also, how would I compare the effect of being in the reference category ("none") to the rest of the categories on the outcome variable?

Any help would be appreciated!
