output list variables as a table

#1
I'm using this command to list some variables:

. list schoolid u0 u0se if pickone==1

What is the equivalent command if I want this in a table format? I've tried various uses of tab... and am getting unpredictable results or errors.

The reason for the table is because I need to put the data in Excel or a Word table, and the list output obviously requires a lot of formatting to make that happen.

If you are using Stata 12, you could use

export excel schoolid u0 u0se using myfile if pickone==1

See -help import_excel- for more information.

If older versions, the command is

outsheet schoolid u0 u0se using myfile.csv if pickone==1 , comma

See -help outsheet- for more options.
