Parametric testing hypothesis

#1
Hi again,

So I had another homework question and have to come up with a null and alternative hypothesis for the research question given:
The question is: are smokers at risk of getting lung cancer than those who don't smoke.

I came up with this:
Null hypothesis: Those who smoke = lung cancer
Alternative hypothesis: those who don't smoke < chances of getting lung cancer.

Just wanted to make sure if it is right.

H0:
The proportion of those getting lung cancer in the population of smokers = The proportion of those getting lung cancer in the population of non-smokers.

With kind regards
