Uncertainty analysis

Hello everybody,
I'm not sure whether this is the right place to ask, but I will try my luck here.

This question concerns uncertainty propagation. I have a set of data (x,y) where each x and y has gone through uncertainty analysis with a predetermined standard uncertainty.

The problem is as follow:
I then performe linear regression on the data to find the gradient. How do I propagate the uncertainty of each x and y to the gradient?

The general method of perfoming uncertainty analysis on linear regression does not apply here as that is only calculation of standard deviaton which accounts only for the statistical or random uncertainty.

Any idea is welcome!
