When to do post-hocs on ANOVA

#1
Hi all,

I have a RM anova with a between subjects factor. My significance level is 0.079 for the between subjects factor. I'm wondering whether it is appropriate to do post hocs? (my accepted p level is 0.05 but I'll be talking about it as a trend...)

My data also violates the assumption of normality.

Many thanks for any advice you can offer,
Ju

You only do post hoc when the result is statistically significant (p < .05).

Dont worry about normality, ANOVA is robust enough to withstand normality violations.
