Would someone please please help with ANCOVA?

I am an elementary school teacher and know next to nothing about statistics. It's been over 15 years since I was in a statistics class. I am working on my masters and I am 99.9% finished.....except for an ancova problem.

I have four sets of class scores. Three groups have received an experimental curriculum unit, one has not. I must run an ancova, using the pre-test as covariate. I have searched and searched....although I find plenty of information about ancova, it is simply over my head.

Would someone please just point me in the right direction to get started with this problem? I found the vassar website for calculations, but I don't know how to compare the scores or interpret the results.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!

My four data sets of pre- and post- test scores are as follows:

Do you access to SPSS?

A lot of people here in this forum could talk you through ANCOVA if you did.

But, that's just me...the 800 pound gorilla in the room. :)
