1. Applying the Bonferroni Correction to a T-Test considered

Yes it is related to the multiple testing ( data set A-normal will be compared to data set E-non normal). I will use the Mann-Whitney for that one.
2. Applying the Bonferroni Correction to a T-Test considered

Thanks O for all your input. Yes, I tested all the data sets separately using the Shapiro-Wilks test which found the data set not normal for E. The p value was .004.

4. Applying the Bonferroni Correction to a T-Test considered

Hello O, Thanks for your reply! 1) Shouldn't I divide by 4 because I am comparing AB, AC, AD and AE? Or are you saying because I am using a T-Test for AB, AC & AD, I should divide by 3? But in this case, when using the Mann Whitney test for comparing AE, do I leave alpha at .05? 2) The sample...
5. Applying the Bonferroni Correction to a T-Test considered

Hello! I need your help please:) I am comparing the mean scores for an exam for one class (A) to four different classes (B,C,D,E), such as AB, AC, AD and AE. The data for all classes is normal but in class E. I am performing a T-Test for AB, AC and AD only, but using the Mann Whitney test for...

7. Comparing withdrawal rates for a course

Excellent. Thank you for confirming what I thought it was.
8. Comparing withdrawal rates for a course

Hello!! Which statical test should I use to compare withdrawal rates for a course for two semesters. I know I can report the means but need to know if the difference is significant. For example: Fall2017 10 out of 33 students withdrew Spring2018 5 out of 66 students withdrew Thank you in...

10. Which test to use to compare means for normal and non normal data

I am not sure what you mean by your first question. However, see the histogram and other descriptive statistics. Thanks so much for your help! I am looking up the Welch test. I don't recall learning about that!
11. Which test to use to compare means for normal and non normal data

Hi! I have quantitative test scores I wish to compare. However, one group (n=27) is not normally distributed and the other one (n=21) is normal. Thank you
12. Which test should I use?

Thank you thank you :)
13. Which test should I use?

I am just getting back to my CPU. I just realized I did not do the Mann Whitney test for Blended and Web. I ran one of the pairs twice by mistake. See the results from the Blended/Web comparison on pg 3 in the attachment. The results are the same as the output from the T test. I am happy...
14. Which test should I use?

My sample was not picked, I had to get students from my courses to volunteer to participate. I was happy to have all of them participate but some were under 18 years old at the time and by law couldn't. Also, some student dropped out of the course and did not take the final exam. I think I...
15. Which test should I use?

LOL! I just had to do a recap:) But glad you remembered my story. I liked and agreed with what you said "General in statistics you don't say that both groups are equal, you only say that the difference between the groups is not big enough to be counted as significant." That makes sense to me...
