Dear all,
I am co-author on a manuscript on a study which follows a group of patients from a certain diagnosis and studies risk factors for survival. The main author has chosen to analyze fixed-interval survival rates (1, 2 and 5-year survival) and to compare the rates between two groups of interest using a Cox PH regression model. As far as my knowledge goes, a different type of regression would be more applicable here due to the fixed interval, for instance something like a log-binomial regression.
My advice of not performing a Cox model was ignored and so my question now is: what is the most suitable type of regression for an analysis of this type?
Thank you in advance!
