Hello, fellow statistics nerds :)

My name is Mark (as you can tell by the profile name, I was/am a philosophy nerd) and I have a background in writing, internet marketing, mathematics, philosophy, and human resource management. About a year and a half ago, I just had this strange urge to start digging deeper into statistics, and I have loved it ever since. I look forward to studying it every day after work, and I find that going over the fundamentals (measures of center and variation, permutations and combinations, binomial distributions, etc.) again and again provides so much insight into more advanced topics.

I suppose I am becoming a beginning intermediate at this point, but I know that there is so much more to learn. I hope my passion is apparent: I am really looking forward to contributing to and learning from this forum. Talking with experts is an important part of becoming an expert.

Thanks for having me!
