It involves some type of system I will never use
I know vaguely that it is an operating system which I have not used. And you and others were trying to find the best way to use it, I used Toad for oracle when there were many other options - now I use the MS Server. But basically no I don't understand it.

Well we are getting you to try R. Maybe one day you'll give Linux a shot.

I doubt the state even allows that. I had to go to a special committee just to use R.

Oh yeah you definitely wouldn't be allowed to change your OS on a work computer.

But you shouldn't definitely consider at least dual booting on a personal computer if you have one.

I have one that is 9 years old and about to fall apart. I think it uses running animals for power.

Contrary to rumor state employees are not well paid

That sounds like the perfect machine to put Linux on. Linux uses a lot less resources than windows and can revive old machines.

I will see about it. I use it pretty much entirely for talking with other people and playing solitaire Oh and watching baseball games.
