Panel data regression in Stata

#1
Hi!
For my master's thesis I'm doing research on the influence of political uncertainty on real estate prices. We've collected data on an economic policy uncertainty index (independent variable), real estate prices (dependent variable) and GDP per capita, interest rates and population growth (control variables) for 9 European countries from 2000 to 2020. I want to do a panel data regression in Stata but don't know whether this should be a random or fixed effects regression. I also don't know how to include the control variables in the regression.

Do both. Usually, fixed effect regressions are seen in the economic papers. The Hausman test will help you identify the model (fe or re). The justification of the control variables comes from the context and the research literature.
