Pre-test sample analysis

Dear Group,

I am running a pilot test of my survey to check the validity of the items tested. With my nearly zero knowledge of statistics, I really appreciate your recommendation on the following:

1) If my required sample size is nearly 400, what is the pilot test sample size would be sufficient?
2) What statistical analysis can I run in order to check the validity of the pilot run?

If you have a key question or construct, it is usually prudent to put the question in the survey twice, once reversed phrased to check for internal validity.


Example, Do you like chicken, flipped version, Do you dislike chicken.
