Running a moderation analysis in a meta-analysis using k<10 (7)

Hello,

For my master thesis, I am looking at the moderating effect of culture (Hofstede's dimensions) on the relationship between career exploration and it's antecedents using a meta-analysis (Never conducted one before, still familiarizing myself with it). The problem is that one of the relationships I strongly argue for is only represented in 7 studies, when 10 is usually recommended (Borenstein et al 2009.). Does anyone happen to have any sources that argue for the inclusion of less than 10 studies?

I would imagine the issue is in regards to identifying random effects with so few individual studies (groups). With REs you are picking up the between study variability, and with a nominal number of groups, I am just guessing, the REs will be imprecise and variable.
