Variability with small values

Hello, I'm using the calculus standard deviation divided by mean to calculate variability. You can see below that the results for the 2 series are similar. However you can easily see that the variability should be way bigger for the second series. If the series has values with small numbers the variability is not reliable. Is there something that I could use istead of variability=std_dev/mean?

Thank you
Variability is not sensitive to shifts in the data. So dividing by the mean is somewhat misleading. Classic measures of variability are standard deviation, average absolute deviation and inter-quartile range.
